1.1: The Holy Spirit in the Believers Life
“And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage.”
Acts 4:31
Freedom
A state of exemption from the power or control of another
Boldness
Freedom from timidity
Courage
Bravery; intrepidity; that quality of mind which enables men to encounter danger and difficulties with firmness, or without fear or depression of spirits
a. When you’re filled with the Holy Spirit you are endowed with power! You’re completely free of all the power of the enemy. In fact, not only are you free from it but you now have the power to free others!! You’ve been given all power and authority!
“Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15
b. You’ve been equipped with boldness, the absence of fear!! Boldness will cause you to move forward in your God-ordained destiny!
c. Courage! This will enable you to do things like stand up to people who attempt to impede on your rights as a human being! Whether political, circumstantial, or spiritual, courage says “give me this mountain and watch it move!”
When I received the Holy Ghost, I went from an alcohol addicted, anxiety-ridden, and insecure 16 year old, to a red hot on fire for God, a soul winner, and already preaching in churches at 16 years old. All of these things, including where I am today, are all a direct result of the infilling of the Holy Spirit!
If you want to receive this power, to go forward in your schools and see your generation shaken. All you have to do is call upon the Lord to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost!! Whether you’ve already received the infilling of the Holy Spirit or not, the Bible says to “be ye being filled” (Ephesians 5:18) it’s a constant action required for constant victory!
Pray this with me today:
“Father, I thank you that you promised us your Helper, the Holy Spirit. Father I ask of you to fill me with a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit right now. Thank you that as I’m being filled now, I get divine direction and acceleration concerning every area of my life. In the name of Jesus, amen!”
