1.3: Vitality of the Holy Spirit

Outcomes of the Holy Spirit PT 3: The Holy Spirit is Vital!

I want to highlight where the Holy Spirit evidently changed a man’s life!

  1. In Peter’s life

”Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and one maid came up to him and said, You were also with Jesus the Galilean! But he denied it falsely before them all, … Another maid saw him, and she said to the bystanders, This fellow was with Jesus the Nazarene! And again he denied it and disowned Him with an oath, saying, I do not know the Man… The bystanders came up and said to Peter, You certainly are one of them too… Then Peter began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, I do not even know the Man! And at that moment a rooster crowed.“

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭69‬-‭74‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Peter denied Jesus to two girls! How embarrassing!!  But then when the day of Pentecost came, and Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit, he preached the Word unashamedly!

”But Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them: You Jews and all you residents of Jerusalem, let this be [explained] to you so that you will know and understand; listen closely to what I have to say. For these men are not drunk, as you imagine, for it is [only] the third hour (about 9:00 a.m.) of the day; But [instead] this is [the beginning of] what was spoken through the prophet Joel:“

‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Peter stood up in a crowd and preached the Word of God! The Holy Spirit inspired the Word so when you’re filled with the Holy Spirit, the Word comes alive in you, and overflows out of you! The Bible says that the latter days will be greater than the former! Meaning that whatever great things you’ve seen in the Bible, you can do even GREATER things today!

Pray this today:

Thank you Father that the Holy Spirit empowers me to be a great vessel of your Word! Thank you that nothing can hinder your work in my life! Just as you did it for Peter I thank you that you’d do it for me! In Jesus name, amen!
